The only film written, produced, and
directed by Bruce Lee, was to have been the first in a series in which he cast himself as
'Tan Lung ~ China Dragon'. Visiting martial arts expert relative of Roman restaurant
owners being threatened by mob hitmen. The film has a charming roughness not unexpected from a directorial debut, with a strong emphasis on comedic situations (Bruce was a big fan of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis comedies). Bruce makes a fantastic show as an unarmed country bumpkin up against the weapons and might of the Rome syndicate. Watch out for a finale gladitorial duel with 7 times world karate champion, Chuck Norris in the Collisseum. |
